Canon VIXIA HF S10 HD Dual Flash Memory with 32 GB Internal Memory and 10x Optical Zoom

There is nothing as frustrating as buying a product that does not perform to the endless good reviews about it. Canon VIXIA HF S10 HD Dual Flash Memory with 32 GB Internal Memory and 10x Optical Zoom, is one of those sad to say but product failures any company can launch. With the price tag on this camcorder is ridiculous for a failed product.

The Vixia HF S10, focal length is so terrible and can easily get you frustrated. When using it in the full zoom out position, images tend to be too close for any great shots. In addition, this is the same case when trying to work with still images and video. Instead of getting the proper adjustments from the many useless functions, you need to move back an extra several feet to get a shot you would probably get with any digital camera. So if you intend to use it in confined places, you can just forget about it.

Try working with the flash on this camera, it is just too impossible. I have tried numerous times to get the flash to work the way it should, with many different settings applied. I still got the same anger brewing results. With close shots always messed up, you need to reposition yourself for better results (darn it, even non-HD cameras handle much better than this).

In my attempt to try to find some solutions, Canon website did not offer much assistance. After having referred me to one department then another, as frustrating as it was, it proofed fruitful in the end. Two wrong types of batteries were causing the problem. And these I wrongly purchased myself because prior I got them I had failed to get any informed decision on the appropriate accessories to purchase (this is from the Canon website). At least one frustrating problem I managed to get it fixed.

In conclusion, this is one big pitfall for Canon and hope it is a lesson learnt for them. If they expected to make it bigger with this product, Canon really got a rude awakening with the number of negative reviews I have come across concerning this particular product. Lastly, Canon VIXIA HF S10 HD Dual Flash Memory with 32 GB Internal Memory and 10x Optical Zoom could have been a five star product if it had more time spent in the making and testing phases.
