Many years now, I have been trimming my body hair with a Wahl trimmer, which actually for facial hair. This worked quite fine for a long time but the short comb meant I would spend a lot of timing trimming. In addition, I did this rarely and mainly during the beach time season. Recently I finally decided on purchasing an appropriate trimmer and Philips Norelco BG2030 Professional Body Grooming System was more than appropriate.

Overall, I am impressed with the Norelco Body Grooming System even though it took me some time to figure out how the whole trimming worked. When I was using a beard trimmer, I always went with the hair growth. The design allows, you to set the length you want, and trim against the hair growth while holding the groomer at a strangely up side down angle. As noted by another reviewer, I too was stunned and impressed at the speed the whole process took to complete. Norelco Body Grooming System is faster and show having the appropriate tool for the job is good.

In my case, I have hair growing on my back, which has proved to be a major turn off to the opposite sex. Instead of going for the regular waxing or tweezing treatment, which meant having, a back covered with infected red ingrown hairs. This I view as unattractive, so I would rather trim my back hair to a less noticeable size. Actually doing that is not as hard as you might think it to be, it just takes a few twists here and there and all is looking good. The Body Grooming system does an okay job there -- although it is no better than my Wahl trimmer on that particular job.

When it comes to shaving down to the skin, I am rather disappointed with the Norelco Body Grooming System. For the hair to be shaved to the skin it will take a few reruns to accomplish that. In addition, it will never give off a smooth shave than the one I can get from a cheap razor I got a few years ago. Nevertheless, the shave is still good enough, and I still recommend the system, but it is not as perfect as I need it to be. In addition, as other reviewers have noted, it is a bit tricky having two trimming blades on each side of the shaving foil. The chances of cutting yourself are high extra care is needed when using this trimmer.

In conclusion, Philips Norelco BG2030 Professional Body Grooming System is a good trimmer.
