I just bought a new Philips Sonicare FlexCare Plus, Rechargeable Toothbrush after I just had enough with my old manual brush. Recently my older brush was giving me problems, I contacted a company representative by phone and I got a replacement promptly (I registered the brush which made things easier).

Philips Sonicare FlexCare Plus, Rechargeable Toothbrush makes it easier to clean your teeth as compared when one is using a manual toothbrush. However, one is also capable of brushing their teeth to the same standards with a manual toothbrush; but then again when using a manual tooth brush people are less likely to take the recommended two minutes for brushing thoroughly. In addition, those suffering with carpel tunnel or arthritis will find the hand maneuvers required by the manual toothbrush difficult and painful. The other good thing with the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Plus, Rechargeable Toothbrush is it comes with an automatic off function, which works every two minutes. This feature will do away with the need of timing yourself when you brush.

If you have never used an electric toothbrush, this brush will slowly increase the pressure as your gums get accustomed to the new sensation. Additionally, one can easily change speeds and vibrations manually. However, exercising extreme caution is advisable here for chances are high that you can accidentally push these buttons while brushing. I have noticed that a considerable number of reviewers have pointed out that sanitizers are not necessary. Here is my view on this matter.

A toothbrush is capable of harboring a different variety of germs capable of causing illness and even infection with the same disease. If cockroaches infect your home and you place your toothbrush near the toilet chances are high of being infected. I carried out a quick survey with the assistances of the head of dental hygiene and several dental professors, with also one responsible for monitoring the school's sterile environment. All of them agreed that for home use a sterilizer was not necessary but I was convinced that half of them used one anyway. Nevertheless, the use of hot water and bleach is inconvenient as compared to placing the head in the sterilizer. Replacing a manual toothbrush regularly is not expensive, but we tend to keep the $13 electric heads for a few more months, placing them at a higher risk of harboring an infection.

Finally, the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Plus, Rechargeable Toothbrush is a good brush and I highly recommend it.
